We’d also like to share a special letter written by Dr. Gregory to all the wonderful clients at Lehigh Valley Animal Hospital.

Dear Clients and Friends,

It is with mixed emotions that I share the news of my retirement from Lehigh Valley Animal Hospital in May 2025.  After over 40 years of a fulfilling career in veterinary medicine, I have decided to devote more time to my family and move on to a new chapter in my life. My plans are to remain on staff as a relief veterinarian.

In May 1988, I joined the veterinary team of Lehigh Valley Animal Hospital, which was founded in 1969 by Dr. Gene Witiak.   During my tenure, I have been fortunate to have met and worked alongside many amazing, compassionate and talented veterinarians and support staff members.  I have also respected and enjoyed working with veterinary colleagues in the Lehigh Valley and service and pharmaceutical professionals who supported our practice.

I would like to express my gratitude for not only these veterinary professional partnerships, but above all, the relationships and bonds with my clientele and their pets.  Thank you for being wonderful, loyal, trusting clients and for giving me the opportunity to provide personalized care for your beloved pets throughout the years.  I have enjoyed watching your families grow and developing friendships with many of you.  We have celebrated many wonderful successes and have also experienced sadness and painful losses together.  I feel confident that my present colleagues and support team at Lehigh Valley Animal Hospital will continue to provide quality care and support for you and your furry family members.

Many thanks go out to my family and friends for their love, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout my career.

As I embark on this new journey of retirement, I will cherish the friendships, wonderful experiences and lasting memories. To all my fellow professionals, support staff and clientele, I am humbled and offer a heartfelt thank you.  I will miss you all.

Warm regards,
Barbara Gregory V.M.D.
